January 2013: PLEXSYS Interface Products, Inc. delivered PLEXComm Virtual Radio (VR) and PLEXComm Touch to Talk (T3) to NASA for use in Glenn, Dryden, and Ames Research Centers. PLEXSYS’ Virtual Radio will serve as a stand-alone communications solution tailored for NASA to provide voice communications during Distributed Air Traffic Control simulation events involving both air and ground simulators at the research centers. VR allows operators to create an unlimited number of radios and nets within a soft radio panel. Participants can talk and listen on multiple radios and nets simultaneously, while monitoring visual cues for transmit. VR can also simulate secure as well as Have Quick capabilities to provide a realistic training environment.T3 is a completely self-contained hardware and software communications solution. It incorporates a touch screen interface panel and can be modified to emulate various communications panels or radio faces.
