Lincoln, UK (October 13, 2016) – PLEXSYS Interface Products, Inc. is proud to announce that the Royal Aeronautical Society (RAeS) is awarding the 2016 Bronze Team Award to the Air Battlespace Training Centre, RAF Waddington (ABTC) team. The RAeS, founded in 1866, is a British multidisciplinary professional institution dedicated to the global aerospace community. PLEXSYS is an integral member of the ABTC team which is being recognized by the RAeS for its contribution in driving a cultural change to synthetic training across the defense industry by delivering outstanding team, collective and joint training in a contemporary synthetic environment.
PLEXSYS is a vital part of the ABTC team and QinetiQ is the Prime contractor for technical service delivery. The RAeS 2016 Bronze Team award recognizes this team effort. The QinetiQ Service Delivery Manager at Waddington said this about the award:
“Although it notes that it is an award to the Management Team the real key thing in this is that this recognition absolutely reflects the work that ALL of our team and our key suppliers has put in consistently to continue to deliver the ABTCs Operational Mission.”
Furthermore, the RAeS citation itself says:
“The team has consistently provided innovative solutions to ensure an outstanding quality and breadth of training for the RAF, RN and British Army to prepare military units for operations. The Team’s efforts have directly influenced UK Defence’s approach to the advantages of the synthetic environment”.
An ABTC team photograph will accompany the Bronze Medal Award. To underpin PLEXSYS inclusion as part of the ABTC team, the PLEXSYS Site Manager Mr. Clive Disdel supports DSALT and is featured in that photograph. PLEXSYS is proud to be a part of this world-class award-winning team as it continues to innovate in the simulation industry.
