PLEXSYS Spearheads MS&T Innovation Discussion at Global SOF Symposium
Mar 12, 2019 | By: Tara Marta
TAMPA, FL (March 12, 2019) – PLEXSYS is pleased to have led a panel discussion at the Global Special Operations Forces (GSOF) Foundation Symposium last week in Tampa, Florida. Attendees to the symposium included high-level active duty and retired military, police, government civilians, industry, academia, journalists, and non-governmental organizations from over 20 countries. This year, PLEXSYS maintained our reputation as thought leaders and forward-leaning innovators by hosting the panel on Innovation in Military Training and Simulation.
Dr. Jim Frey from our PLEXSYS Orlando office moderated the discussion between Major General Maria Gervais (Deputy Commanding General, U.S. Army Combined Arms Center), Brigadier General Michael Sloane (Program Executive Officer, Simulation, Training, and Instrumentation, U.S. Army), Dr. Robert Siegfried (Vice Chief, Modeling and Simulation Group, North Atlantic Treaty Organization) and Mr. Michael Harris (Acting Executive Director, U.S. Army Contracting Command). The conversation touched on innovations in the marketplace and the acquisition tools available to design and deploy them.
“These are the exact discussions both industry and the government leaders need to engage in to drive forward the requirements and deliveries to the men and women serving militaries around the world,” Dr. Frey said when asked how the topic was created for the panel discussion at this year’s Symposium. “PLEXSYS is excited to be considered a leader in this field and looks forward to continued dialogue and success in the future for everyone involved.”
