PLEXSYS DELIVERS HARDWARE TO BEGIN ASSEMBLY OF COMBAT AIR FORCES FIRST AWACS 40/45 MISSION CREW TRAINING SET:

October 5, 2012, Oklahoma City, OK: PLEXSYS Interface Products Inc. successfully delivered all the hardware required for the USAF AWACS program’s first Block40/45 Mission Crew Training Set (MCTS) to The Boeing Corporation on 28 September, 2012 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. PLEXSYS and Boeing personnel began installation of the MCTS at Tinker AFB on 5 October 2012 with installation scheduled to complete by 16 November 2012. The MCTS will reside in the same Tinker AFB facility as the current 3 AWACS Blk30/35 Mission Training Centers operated by PLEXSYS. The Block40/45 MCTS consists of a complete AWACS backend complement of 15 Operator Workstations, 8 Instructor Operator Stations, a state-of-the-art brief/debrief capability and Distributed Mission Operations (DMO) and Non-DMO external connectivity for a full-range of distributed Live, Virtual and Constructive operations. US AWACS Mission Crew Cadre will use the new Block 40 MCTS for all forms of training to include Initial Qualification, Mission Qualification, Continuation Training, as well as Combat Mission Rehearsal in the local stand-alone configuration as well as Distributed Mission Operations.
